The first project for my first storyboard class, was to take a genre movie and board a scene from it. I chose Fight Club. The genre was Film Gris. Wikipedia explains Film Gris as this:
Films gris offer a leftist criticism of society in general, and of capitalism in particular. They typically examine such themes as the psychological damages of class, the false promises of middle class happiness, and the pitfalls of materialism.
I think that definition fits this film to a T.
Not only is this one of my favorite films, I learned so much from boarding this scene.
